2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star Launched
Ram unveiled their 2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star truck on Wednesday. The all new 2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star entered the market with a price tag of $38,935, but currently this truck is aimed only at customers in Texas. The priced tag of $38,935 for 2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star includes destination charge of $995.
The all new 2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star is the 10th centennial model of the truck and hence has been given some special touches in the form of a new full-size “Lone Star” badging, along with blue, white and red Texas position symbol given on the tailgate as well as on the front doors.
The cabin here has been given leather seats that are Katzkin perforated along with Lone Star cryptograms. The floor mat for the truck has also given Lone Star name.
The 2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star model also comes with a 10-way changeable power driver seat, a 115-V added power outlet, halogen quadrangle headlights, 20-in aluminum wheels, locking lug nuts, Class IV receiver hitch, steering-wheel-located audio controls, fog lamps, back 60/40 tear-folding seats and leather-covered steering wheel.
The 2012 1500 Lone Star gets its power from a 5.7-ltr Hemi V8 engine, which is the standard engine for the truck and generates 390-bhp of peak power. The engine here has been coupled with a 6-speed automatic drive.
Mr. Fred Diaz, the CEO and President of Ram Truck marque in one of his statement told that, “This truck has given them chance to be associated with the state genuinely in the past 10 year.” “As far as ram trucks are concerned this till now is the best selling model in Texas.”
It should be known that Ram has sold in excess of 80,000 Texas-only models of their trucks in past 10 years.
