Daimler trucks likely to be more expensive than the competition
It was reported that Bharat Benz trucks from the Daimler India Commercial Vehicle’s which get launched for India on 9th of September and the price will be around five to ten percent more than the competition. VRV Sriprasad, the VP @ marketing & sales has the press people that these trucks will be priced competitively, but features that they will offer will be a big benefit to the customers and hence the price is more by around five to ten percent.
This company hasn’t yet unveiled the prices of their commercial vehicles but he said that these trucks will offer better payback because it is ten percent better than the competition in terms of fuel efficiency. This arm of the Daimler, the German auto major recently committed around 4,400 INR crores for business of commercial vehicles for India and they will be rolling our about seventeen models in the next eighteen months starting with a model of 25 tonnes and around seventy out lets all across this country.
Sri prasad has said that they have pumped in 2/3rds of this promised amount of about INR 4,400 crores already so far for launching trucks of BharatBenz for India. DICV will be offering complete solutions to owner of truck right from the financing to giving total cashless maintenance for the vehicle.
