Ford Releasing Their Ford Ranger outside North America
The days of Ford’s compact Ranger truck might be concluding in United States, but the significance of the compact Ford Ranger pickup is clearly growing in the other markets of the globe.
Speaking on the issue, Joe Hinrichs the head of Ford Africa and Asia said, “It’s known that Ford is of great significance to Ford all across the globe, and, actually, with the exemption of North America, the Ranger is the ideal truck for the Ford across the globe. It’s seriously vital to us from Africa to Asia to Australia and South America, also.”
Hinrichs was present in Johannesburg earlier this week for the commencement of the automobile show in the largest city of South Africa, when the all new Ford Ranger is being showcased.
The newly-fangled Ford Ranger soon will be sent to around 148 all across the world from SA (South Africa), where Ford is growing their output of the pickup truck to around 110,000 every year.
We didn’t hear anything from Hinrichs regarding the number of trucks the company intends to sell in the country. At present, Ford sells around 275,000 Ford Rangers worldwide.
The newly-fangled Ford Ranger will enter the salerooms in South Africa by November end.
Three months back Ford started the manufacturing a diesel motor which will be place din the new Ford Ranger, the manufacturing of this engine is part of company’s $500 million venture in an assembly plant and an engine factory in South Africa.
Hinrichs told that the advanced plants will make the production facility of South Africa that meets the global market requirement of Ford. Around 110,000 Ford Rangers that will be manufactured in South Africa only about a ¼th of them will stay in nation and the remaining of them will be distributed across the globe, primarily to Europe and some other nations in Africa.
Ford will be selling the Ford Ranger in around 180 countries. The Ford Rangers will also be manufactured at the Ford plants in Argentina and Thailand.
The Ford Range is the newest case of the “One Ford” product and manufacturing organization of Ford. This new initiative focuses primarily on marketing basically the same automobile globally.
