Honda Confirms The Stay of Honda Ridgeline
If you are a Honda Ridgeline fan than the piece of news we’re covering here certainly will interest you. According to the latest reports from the Detroit News, Honda has confirmed that their Honda Ridgeline will not be going anywhere, at least not any time sooner. Denying all the rumors of the demise of the Honda Ridgeline, the manager of Honda’s truck product planning, Sage Marie, has said that rumored reports of the termination of the truck has been exaggerated enormously, and that the Ridgeline plays a significant role in the product line of the company. Marie also confirmed that the Ridgeline will carry on on into the predictable future. All that, despite the fact that the model has seen significant drop in its sales figures over the past couple of months. As per The Detroit News, Honda only has sold around 6,500 Ridgeline models during the first nine months of this model year.
In the same period, Honda sold around 12,700 models last year.
Now, though up to some extent the drop in the sales easily could be attributed to the production delays associated with tsunami and earthquake disaster in Japan earlier this year, it’s tough to overlook the tired product and the fact that all the other full-size trucks are offering rather impressive fuel economies. Marie confirmed that the Honda Ridgeline will see some significant aesthetic updates for the model year 2012 with the inclusion of the fresh Sport model shown above.
