SsangYong Unveils Production SUT-1 Pickup
We first saw the prototype version of this pickup at this year Geneva Motor Show, but the real think was revealed at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The SsangYong made use of the German auto show for revealing their all new production-ready used the German motor show arena to make public its brand new construction-ready quad-cab SUT-1 pickup truck. The SUT name of the pickup refers to a Sports Utility Truck, which is what the SsangYong likes to call their SUT-1 pickup.
The SsangYong SUT-1 will be offered in four-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive versions. The power for the SsangYong SUT-1 will come from a 2.0 ltr diesel 4-cylinder engine generating maximum power of 153 bhp, and the engine here will be mated either with a 6 speed manual transmission of 6 speed automatic drive.
The SsangYong SUT-1 is an utter body-on-frame pickup truck and will enter the market with a straight double-wishing bone suspension and a 5-link rear exposed back. The 4-wheel discs will be positioned on all the four corners and the truck could either be had with 16-in or 18-in alloy wheels. The best thing here is that the tough look and feel that the truck gives externally doesn’t transfers to the interiors of the truck and the interiors here are incredibly comfy and smooth. Some of the highlights for the interiors of the truck includes the likes of a sound system supporting Bluetooth connectivity, Power leather heated seats and MP3 playback.
